The leader of the Keepers of the Horn confronted Conan's party when they attempted to steal the Horn of Dagoth from them. Like Toth-Amon before him, the leader was working against Queen Taramis and he and the other Keepers wanted to be the ones to resurrect Dagoth, for which they needed Jehnna. When Conan refused to give the girl over, the Keepers attacked. Conan's group escaped through a hidden tunnel in the crypt where the horn was kept. The leader, a wizard, battled Akiro with magic but was eventually overcome when Akiro used his power to blind him.
