Healed and augmented using scraping of Guy's alien hybrid DNA, he announced his return by killing a war buddy of his, Arisia Rrab, a former Green Lantern at the time and friend of former Green Lantern Guy Gardner. This saw them improving on his powers by adding some of Guy Gardner's DNA allowing him some limited shape shifting ability. With this power, he then went out to get revenge on Guy Gardner. Force was confronted by a vengeful but significantly weakened Guy Gardner in New York City and apparently killed him in a lengthy if one-sided battle. Origin

Clifford Zmeck

At some point, he came to serve in the U.S. military where he became a second-class supply sergeant attached to the 601st Airborne. On 6th October 1968, he was off-base where he was responsible for the rape and murder of Elaine Alard. He came to be arrested and court martialled by the Air Force in January 1969 where he was sentenced to life imprisonment with no hope for parole. (Captain Atom v2 #12)
