Mike was an American helicopter pilot employed by the Brinkstone Oil Company. He and another pilot were sent to the Phoenix Project facility to discover why communication had been cut off with the scientists there. After they landed, he went below decks and encountered and surprised Paul Latham, who shot him and killed him out of reflex, thinking him one of the monster Charlie's forms.
