History

Adam Harkins believed that these creatures were the finest creation of The Facility's research. (New X-Men v2 #36

Overview

It was noted that they had an insatiable hunger for the X-Gene within Mutants and knew that they would die if they did not consume it. (New X-Men v2 #36)

Whilst normally hunting Mutants, they could be reprogrammed to hunt and kill other specific targets as well as bloodlines. It was believed that these genetically engineered creatures could be sent to seek out other genetic signatures. (Astonishing Tales v2 #2)

Notes

  • The Predator X was created by Christopher Yost, Craig Kyle and Paco Medina where it made its first appearance in New X-Men v2 #34 (March, 2007)

In other media

Television

  • In Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers, a Predator X was used by the Celebrity Five at Techno Isle Tokyo where it was deployed against Wolverine who was looking for the kidnapped Noriko Ashida. The creature attacked Logan where it projected a purple fluid from its mouth that made him sluggish as well as negated his natural healing ability.
