Biography
Carina Tivan was the daughter of Taneleer Tivan and Matani Tivan.
Carina left home to explore the universe while Matani gave up her immortality causing Taneleer to lose his sanity and become The Collector.
She arrived on Earth taking on the name Carina Walters and, under her father's orders, planned to get close to Michael Korvac as Taneleer saw him as a threat to the Elders of the Universe. However, Carina found herself falling in love with Korvac for real, causing Taneleer to come and kidnap the Avengers in a misdirected attempt to "save" them.
Carina and Korvac married and moved to a small neighborhood in Forest Hills. The Avengers and The Guardians of the Galaxy arrived and confront the couple causing Korvac to reveal his true self and fight, but when he realizes that Carina was afraid of him, he commits suicide. Carina, enraged, fights the two teams herself before Thor kills her.
However, she was not dead but rather reduced to an energy form where she hid in Underspace and left her consciousness to drift. Thus, she remained there until she was found by Dr. Hank Pym who mistook her for being the remaining trace of Janet van Dyne who was believed to had died. He salvaged the energy which was fed memories of Janet making Carina take her form whilst Pym sought a means of bringing her back. The Avengers Infinite Mansion was created using Carina's presence within Underspace as an anchor. Despite this, Pym was not ready to activate the machines he had made to bring 'Janet' back with Veil forcing the matter by activating the device.
