'''Satoru Mikami''' (Japanese: 三上悟, Hepburn: Mikami Satoru) was a Japanese male who lived to adulthood until an unknown event caused him to reincarnate into another world. He came to be reincarnated a a blue slime in a cave where he came to find that he did not have a need for sleep nor had a sense of touch where he was relegated to eating grass to pass the time. After 90 days of boredom, a Unique Skill came to activate named Great Sage that provided him analysis on the world. This helped him learn about the world where he asked it questions and gained answers from it in turn. He came to learn that the grass he ad been consuming were Hipokute Herbs that was a material for high-grade health restorative potions. During his time inside the cave, he met another creature which turned out to be the powerful Storm Dragon '''Veldora'''. The Storm Dragon proved himself friendly and taught him how to perceive the surroundings via magicules through the use of the Extra Skill Magic Sense. Veldora also reminisces about the peerless beauty of a Hero that defeated him 300 years ago... the two of them become friends and then named each other as equals. Veldora becomes Veldora Tempest, and the slime was named Rimuru Tempest. To break the unbreakable Infinite Prison, they agree to stake Veldora's freedom on Rimuru's Unique Skill, and Veldora got stored in Predator's storage space, stuck in time and undergoing Great Sage's analysis. With a new goal in mind and friend in heart, Rimuru eventually gets out of the cave. It was only after using the Great Sage's mapping function that he succeeded though. During the 30 days after meeting Veldora, Rimuru ate more grass and rocks, namely Hipokute Herbs and Magic Ore, as well as other monsters that he fought and killed, and develops some personal fighting skills to defend himself, such as the Common Skill Water Blade. Whilst exploring the forest outside the cave, Rimuru plays around with a sound-emitting skill acquired from predating a cave bat and achieves speech. He met a group of goblins and got invited to their village. It turns out the Goblins are being threatened by a pack of direwolves. After hearing the situation from the village chief and being promised eternal loyalty, the good-natured Rimuru helps them, defeats the wolf pack's leader, and acquires the rest of the pack as subordinates. He tells the goblins and wolves to get along with each other, and thus the new village was born under his rule. | '''Satoru Mikami''' (Japanese: 三上悟, Hepburn: Mikami Satoru) was a Japanese male who lived to adulthood until an unknown event caused him to reincarnate into another world. Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Rimuru Tempest was originally a human being until he became a reincarnated otherworlder. After his reincarnation, he initially appeared in the form of a blue slime. In his regular form, Rimuru takes the appearance of a usually spherical and sometimes amorphous mass of slightly blue and translucent ooze. Initially, Rimuru's slime form has a diameter of around 40cm, this increases to 70cm after his evolution to Demon Slime and further increases to between 80-100cm after his reincarnation to Ultimate Slime. Rimuru's facial features in human form are nearly identical to those of Shizue Izawa but his long silver hair and deep golden eyes give him an otherwordly divine beauty that sets the two apart. He can occasionally be seen wearing Shizu's mask or donning dragon-like wings.
He tended to react very severely when there was a danger to those close to him.
Ideals without power to back them up were just idle daydreams to him and power without ideals was just empty.
He had said that he was not interested in seeking pure power for power’s sake with no other particular goals in mind.
