The Bingo-Maru was a fishing ship owned by the Southern Sea Steamship Company. It was the second ship sunk by Godzilla in 1954. After the unexplained loss of its sister ship, the Eiko-Maru, the Bingo-Maru was sent to the area where she was last seen to search for survivors. Godzilla attacked from beneath the surface, destroying the Bingo-Maru with his fire breath. A few survivors were picked up by another ship, and washed ashore on Ohto Island, but they died not long afterwards, from a combination of shock and radiation burns.
