EXALT is an organization that features in XCOM: Enemy Within.

History
Overview
It was believed that the organization desired form over functionality as they were not above using decorations at their base of operations instead of adopting a Spartan existence. They also employed a hidden in plain sight approach with regards to their headquarters that instead of being an underground installation was a large mansion. Similar to XCOM, they also engaged in a number of advanced technology projects to better their operations. These included the use of genetic modifications that were much more extreme and extensive when compared to the G-Mods used by XCOM. Furthermore, their also advanced their weapon technology as their forces initially fielded projectile weaponry before making use of precision lasers.
