An Imperial dignitary, Sate Pestage accompanied Emperor Palpatine wherever he went. Pestage was Palpatine's trusted grand vizier and had been in his service since the days of the Old Republic. Pestage was with Palpatine when he came aboard the second Death Star to oversee its construction, and was one of the few Imperials to escape when the weapon-ship was destroyed by the Rebel Alliance.
