The Necessarius was a secret branch of the Church of England which was charged with the important duty of conducting both supernatural and magical experiments in order to combat any threats posed by such forces. It was first created by English Puritans who despised magic but due to the fact that Britain was a magical country, they decided to learn to use it in order to counter its effects even though they were disgusted with its usage. This meant that they were despised by purists and forced out of Canterbury whereupon the Church of Necessary Evil began operating in the background, behind the scenes where they began to develop their power base over time.
