After a brief fight, they learnt that the Shocker was stealing money to pay the [[Mad Thinker]] to cure him as the spider-virus was mutating him into a spider monster. At that point, Carlie went through a transformation turning her into a more spider-based creature as the disease had now mutated. Carlie Ellen Cooper is a female human who lived in the modern age. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #660) During high school, she became best friends with Lily Hollister. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #545)
She attended a party where Harry Osborn revealed to his friends that he was dating Holister. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #545)
