- Company Commander (中隊長, Chūtaichō) : these were the Lieutenants who served as the second-in-command of the brigade.
- Fire Soldier (消防官, Shōbōkan) : the rank and file soldiers within the Special Fire Force with these being divided between the First Class (一等, Ittō) and Second Class (二等, Nitō).
- Sister (シスター, Shisutā) : a priest attached to a brigade and tasked with administering a prayer for the Infernal before their elimination.
- Science Team (科学捜査班, Kagakusou Han) : consisted of a team of scientists that operated for the brigade.
- Engineer (機関員, Kikanin) : responsible for operating the weapons department and was in charge of maintenance of equipment.
In addition, the Special Fire Force was divided into 8 companies that were spread out around the city with these areas serving as their respective territories. It was said that whilst all the company's had a shared goal in ending Spontaneous Human Combustion that they also had their own personal motivations and loyalties to different parent groups.
