History
Origin

Post-Flashpoint
Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.
Overview
There was a special room used in the Tower by Cyborg dismantled his body during sleep cycles in order to clean it and perform maintenance with Victor only existing as a head whilst his organic body went through a protein solution. A sterile environment was needed and once completed the machines reassembled his body. (Teen Titans v3 #9)
