However, one day, she came to question the commands given to her by the sorcerer. For her defiance, Quan Chi decided to use her as an example and ordered her sisters to kill her. This forced Ashrah to escape where she came to discover a heavenly sword called the '''''Kriss'''''. Taking the blade, she came to strike at the demonic assassin sent after her where she came to experience a strange exhilaration from using it. Ashrah came to find that the taint of evil that was on her began to leave her body which was seemingly being purified in the process. She came to realise that using the sword to exterminate demons in the Netherrealm led to her own soul being cleansed. Thus, she resolved herself to clean the world of evil where every fiend she eradicated she found her own presence within the Netherrealm to be more and more unstable. Ashrah reasoned that once her soul was cleansed of all evil then the Netherrealm would reject her presence and she would be expelled from it thus allowing her among the mortal worlds. In this time, she had slain many demons but determined that killing a powerful foe such as [[Noob Saibot]] would allow her to finally ascend from the Netherrealm. | ||
