History
The Genites were created during the turbulent period after the fall of the Systems Commonwealth which resulted in the rise of many political, philosophical and religious organizations that sought to exist in the chaos and despair that plagued the known worlds. It was in this environment, a decade after the collapse of the Commonwealth, an organization was created called the Templars formed by Admiral Constanza Stark which sought to eliminate the threats to the now destroyed Commonwealth. However, a cadre of former Human High Guard officers believed that the reason for the Fall was due to genetically engineered Humans. Thus, they began an attempt to exterminate all such creatures and were thus expelled by Stark.
It was from this point that the Knights of Genetic Purity were formed who blamed genetic engineering of the human genome for the collapse of their civilization and often pointed to the Nietzscheans as proof of this belief. Their motto became "a pure universe for pure humans" and began to attract many devoted followers which in turn began to wage a war against the Neitzscheans as well as other corrupted experiments of genetic engineering. Legions of supporters and the technical base of the Commonwealth allowed the Genites to persecute these enemies and they succeeded in slaughtering millions of such foes. For a time, it seemed that they would succeed in their goals.
However, an alliance was formed between the Nietzschean Prides which included the Drago-Kazov which managed to defeats the Genites after a number of pitched, bitterly fought battles across both the Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies. After they were defeated, the threat of the Genites seemed to have been destroyed and the Nietzscheans returned to their internal conflicts. Yet, a number of groups emerged claiming to be successors to the original Genites had arisen though none of these were as organized as the original core group. Rumours persisted that these new Genites had secretly established a new power base somewhere in an isolated region of space and have a process of re-armament in order to wage a new crusade against the genetically engineered humans of the known worlds. Since that time, they have also engaged in skirmishes with their original parent organization known as the Templars.
Background
The members of the Knights of Genetic Purity, also known as Genites, consisted solely of Humans all of whom were dedicated in the extermination of all genetically engineered Humans be they simply altered Humans to completely recreated species.
They were considered nothing more then "intergalactic bullies" by Beka Valentine.
Technology
The Genites were highly advanced and much of their technological base was based on the Systems Commonwealth but advanced over the many years after the Fall. Their soldiers all wear white armor and carry gauss rifles with some being equipped with powerful sharp swords.
Soldiers often wore the white encasing photo-reactive armor which was developed by the Highguard before the Fall. This was improved on over the Long Night and allowed Genite warriors to withstand most forms of small arm's fire with the Force Lance being one of the few exceptions. This allowed a strike team of Knights to be capable of fighting against a much more numerous enemy as their weapons proved to be ineffective against the Genite armour.
One noted piece of equipment was the ability to create a Genite warrior who was encased in a swarm of blue nanites who was capable of moving past obstacles and reforming on the other side. They were capable of being killed and once they were, they disintegrated into the component blue molecules which simply fall to the floor.
Their starships were also noted for their stealth technology which their Seraphim class carriers were equipped with which were capable of hiding from the sensors of a Glorious Heritage class cruiser.
Another capability of theres was the capacity to create bio-engineered weapons that were able to kill selected species.
