Brethren Moons are creatures that feature in the Dead Space series.

History
The Brethren Moons were large entities that comprised the Necromorph infection that were also known as the Brother Moons or Blood Moons. Each were the source of the signal that were generated by the Markers. Their origins were largely unknown though it was known that they were moon-sized entities that travelled the galaxy in the search to consume all forms of organic life that they encountered. This was achieved by them encounters with the Markers that were sent into space. Such processes begin by sending out the Black Markers through space and landed on worlds rich in organic sentient life.
