History

The Irathients were a race of bipedal humanoids that were native to the planet Irath.

Overview

In appearance, these humanoids were a handsome race who were naturally athletic and had bronze skin that was covered in biologically occurring patterns. Their athleticism, strength and intelligence allowed him to succeed in a variety of occupations.

They were a proud tribal people that were sometimes perceived as being feral by others due to their deep love for the natural world. Despite their aggressive behaviour, they were also a deeply spiritual people. Irathients were noted for being fierce and fearless fighters that prided themselves on their combat skills. Whilst holding a strong cultural pride, the Irathients on Earth understood that they lived on a new world and had made efforts in order to assimilate. Many still preferred mining and farmer occupations that allowed them to work the land like their forefathers.

Their language was spoken at a slow and deliberate pace with it being rich in consonant clusters that may sound halting at times as a result. Other Votan races considered the Irathient species as being coarse and harsh. However, it was clear that they took great care in finding unique ways to describe the world around them.

Irathients had adopted much of the technology and weaponry that was developed by the other races. However, most disputes were still settled through hand-to-hand combat. Similarly, their buildings were mostly from wood and stone that were designed to blend into their surroundings. To them, this harmony with nature not only pleased their gods but also provided a natural defense against their enemies.
