Marguerite Krux was a female Human character that featured in Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World series.

Background

Marguerite is a mysterious and wealthy woman with no scruples whatsoever She never knew her parents and was raised in a number of boarding schools where she was given the finest education but no love. She has an extensive knowledge of subjects and incredibly ability with languages. It was she who funded the expedition to the plateau only on the condition that she came along. However, she will betray anyone if it advances her cause.

It was her belief that her desire to go along with the expedition was getting precious jewels. However, there is something else that drives her to this location that she does not understand or control. It is as if her life was preparation for this journey to the Lost World.
