Biography
Origin
Simon Stagg
It was known that he had a younger brother named Beowulf Stagg with their father giving him a golden watch as a gift. (Action Comics v1 #417)
Beowulf Stagg died and left a will asking his brother Simon to care for his son Randall Stagg. At some point afterwards, a group of spies approached Randall where they used hypnosis to turn him into their agent and wanted him to steal the secrets of Stagg. The boy met his uncle and was taken in where his conditioning triggered causing him to secretly take copies of any formula or other secrets that were to be sent to his handlers. (Action Comics v1 #417)

Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.
