In the aftermath, Gamma Flight remained inactive after ending the threat of gamma weapons from Shadow Base only for the black ops facility to go into the hands of the Hulk. Remaining on standby, the team sprung into action after receiving reports of an attack on Phoenix, Arizona but a number of large monstrous creatures. During this time, Joe Fixit had commandeered the Hulk's body and adopted a human guise allowing him to escape his restraints. Gamma Flight went to apprehend him but he damaged the exterior of the station allowing him to be sucked out into space where he changed back into his Hulk form allowing him to survive re-entry onto the the Earth's surface.
