The Trade Emergency Coalition, also known as TEC, was a Human interstellar empire in Sins of the Solar Empire.
Background
The Trade Emergency Coalition is a Human government that became increasingly more organized as well as powerful after the discovery of the Visari in order to combat that alien threat. The majority of its vessels consist of antiquated merchant or civilian ships which have been converted for military duty to make them armed for combat. The result is that the ships make use of crude conventinal kinetic as well as nuclear technology.
They would eventually fast track theirw weapon development program which has managed to create more up-to-date ship designs as well as defenses. Though they are behind in the fields of weapon technology, the TEC make up for this wih a strong economy through trade and production.
