Overview
Personality and attributes
An aggressive and hot blooded American, Paul lived by his wits working as a bodyguard and street fighter. Phoenix has apparently no allegiances to law enforcement agencies or any known criminal cartels, and has been classed as a low security risk. However his hot-headed nature could yet cause problems.
Paul was an overconfident, muscle-brained individual who never doubtws himself. This overconfidence tendws to get the better of him, often leaving Paul in difficult and awkward situations. Despite this, his brash attitude has stayed consistent over time, and still he enters tournaments striving to prove himself to be the 'toughest in the universe'.
Phoenix was shown to be short-tempered, slightly dim-witted, loud, and reckless; however, he never does anything out of malice, and his overall exuberance seems to temper his other qualities and make him fairly easy to get along with.
As a child, he was fascinated by 'Bear Killer Willy Williams' where he grew up to be one of the world's renowned fighters.
Paul viewed Kazuya as his rival, as a previous fight with him ended in a draw though their rivalry was one-sided.
