Biography

Joker (Japanese: ジョーカー, Hepburn: Jōkā) was a male human born in the Tokyo empire after the events of the Great Cataclysm (大災害, Daisaigai). The young boy was abandoned by his parents and lived as an orphan where at a young age he came to be taken in by the Holy Sol Temple. This saw him being inducted into the Holy Sol's Shadow (聖陽の影, Seiyō no Kage) that were secret assassins deployed by the church to eliminate their enemies. Given the name Five-Two, he came to be trained alongside the other children that were a member of the group. Exceptional among his peers, his skills drew the attention of the captain of the unit who began to abuse Five-Two for his supposed pride in his skills. This abuse occurred both publicly and in private with Five-Two experiencing regular beatings. In one case, the captain was responsible for burning Five-Two's watch that was the only item that connected him to his old life before joining the order whilst being told that he was not special.
