Number One was the mysterious leader of the organization that controlled the Village. At the very end, Number Six unmasked Number One, finding that the chief jailer was in fact Number 6 himself. Number One entered a rocket while Six and company escaped, and the Village was evacuated and possibly destroyed by the rocket's launch.
