Scrounge

Scrounge was an Autobot spy on Cybertron for Perceptor and friend of Blaster. Scrounge's alternate mode was a self-propelled wheel, and one of his arms was equipped with advanced eavesdropping equipment.

Scrounge intercepted a communication from Earth by Soundwave, informing him of the survival of Optimus Prime and company there. However, he was captured by the Insecticons for Lord Straxus and tossed into the Smelting Pool to slowly melt and die. He was almost rescued by Blaster, but refused to leave, as too much of his body had already been destroyed. Scrounge passed on his recording of Soundwave's message to Blaster, then finally sank and melted away.
