Racked spirit

The term racked spirit is used in Dark Sun to describe an undead created when a spirit cannot find rest in the Gray due to unfinished business on Athas. Racked spirits may be formed from any race, but the most common examples are dwarven banshees.
The most effective way of laying a racked spirit to rest is generally to conclude whatever task kept it tied to Athas.
