The Engine of Creation was a powerful technological artifact that featured in an episode of the TV show Andromeda.

Background

The Engine of Creation was a legendary artifact which was considered among the Known Worlds to be nothing more then a myth similar to Humanity's Holy Grail. It was a device that was capable of manipulating space and time allowing the user to create whatever their thoughts desired making it a powerful tool.

Beka Valentine discovered a map that supposedly led to to the Engine of Creation where it was stated that three individuals were required to gain the artifact. To this end, she was followed by Dylan Hunt and Trance Gemini to a backwater planet. There, the trio competed with another treasure hunting band whereupon Dylan was successful in getting passed the traps as well as puzzles to locate the artifact. However, the item was only a fragment of the Engine of Creation and thus its power was not as great as the true artifact.
