Darklord
From Multiversal Omnipedia
Darklord is the term for the ruler of a domain in Ravenloft. Each darklord is both empowered and cursed by their status as darklords, given great power within their domain but also imprisoned and eventually tortured.
At one point, darklords were ranked as lords, darklords (which were specifically lords of domains in the Core), overlords and demilords, but that classification has since been abandoned.
