Panserbjørne were a race of sentient bears from His Dark Materials.
History
Background
An armored bears life was one full of war for it was the sea they swam in and the air they breathed.
A bear's armor was considered their soul similar to a Daemon in that it as so close to them that it was irreplaceable.
