Greedo

Greedo facing Han Solo.

Greedo was a Rodian bounty hunter in the employ of Jabba the Hutt. Hoping to impress Jabba, Greedo attempted to capture Han Solo by himself in the Mos Eisley cantina. The Rodian was no match for Solo, who casually shot him under the table.

Later re-edits of the film had Greedo shoot at Han Solo first, but fans generally see that as cheapening the significance of the scene. A recent re-edit shows both Greedo and Han shooting at almost the same time.
