History
Vampires (吸血鬼, Kyūketsuki?) were an immortal race of beings that survived by feeding on the blood of humans. Their existence was largely kept a secret and they remained hidden from mankind for countless years.
Overview
In appearance, vampires greatly resembled humans with only a few differences such as their pale white skin, red eyes and pointed ears.
Leadership of their kind was maintained by the Progenitor Council that consisted of the Progenitor vampires. Those vampires sired by a Progenitor became nobles and stood above average members of their kind.
Prior to the Apocalypse, the vampires were forbidden from interfering in the affairs of the human world and had their existence hidden from mankind. This law became invalid after the Apocalypse when mankind faced a threat to their existence. With their food supply in harm, the vampires moved in to take control of the world and save humans to feed on in the future.
