After the death of En Sabah Nur, the Death Seed within Warren Worthington III had activated tasking him to replace his master as the new evolutionary caretaker for the Mutant race. Thus, he took control of Clan Akkaba that was brought under his rule and he tasked his forces with finding Autumn Rolfson as he came to suspect that she had a son. She came to the Akkaba Metropolis on the condition that her boy was not to be harmed with Archangel stating that he had no desire to hurt the boy and instead saw potential in him. The pair were greeted then by Genocide who pledged his allegiance to Archangel so that his mother could not be harmed for hiding him from the world. (Uncanny X-Force v1 #13)
