Femto
Femto is the fifth and final member of the God Hand. While he was human, Griffith's dream was to be a great king and was led by destiny and fate down the long road to take his place among the God Hand during the Eclipse. Choosing to sacrifise his comrades, Griffith was re-born as and gifted with the wings of darkness as Femto.
His first action was to rape his former comrade Caska before the eyes of his former friend (and her now mate) Guts, before discarding her like a rag-doll. Femto and his demon hordes would have succeeded in killing the two remaining members of the Band of the Hawk, had the Skull Knight not intervened and rescued them. Rather than blast them, Femto let them go, his reasons to this day not being clear.
Still, it was a time of celebration for demon-kind, with the birth of the fifth God Hand, Hell and Earth were slowly beginning to merge, but Femto still had work to do.
Femto and the rest of the God Hand appeared before Guts again two years later, after Guts (now the Black Swordsman) defeated Count, The_(Berserk)the Count, and were surprised that he was still alive. They did not kill him though as Femto felt that Guts was now beneath their notice. Guts tried to work his way up and slay Femto with the Dragon Slayer, but was repelled, Guts furious at his former friends words, since Guts was partly responsible for Griffith's new found powers. Before leaving, Femto spared Guts a quick glance meeting his gaze.
Later it was revealed that when Femto took Caska, she was carrying Guts' child, and he had corrupted it, causing the child to be part demon. In order to do his work on Earth, and not being able to return to take physical form on Earth, but a Rebirth Ceremony took place (and could only happen once every ten centuries), and Femto possessed the demon child, once again taking his human form and returned before a mass of people floating down from the sky like an angelic figure. Nosferatu Zodd then knealed before him and took him off.
Word of Griffith's return spread through Midland like wild fire, as many remembered him as a great hero and heard news of his death with the Hawks, and believed he had returned during this time of war to save them. Griffith donned angelic armor and became known as The Hawk of Light.
Griffith's first actions were to visit Guts, Caska and Rickert. The reasons for his visit were to see if he felt anything for them, but he told them he felt nothing (though in reality he did feel something, but is blaming it on the body he is now possessing). Guts tried to attack Griffith but was beaten back by Zodd. Griffith then offered Rickert a place at his side, promising the offer would remain open before departing.
Griffith's next action was to form a new Band of the Hawk formed of countless demons and human warriors from Midland, offering any who wanted to follow him the oppurtunity, and going to war with the Kushan invaders. He then rescued Princess Charlotte from captivity, becoming even more a hero in her eyes and the eyes of Midland, overwhelming all with his supernatural charisma.
Griffith's ambition to become a king came true as a demon and now seems to be coming true in the human world, but within him beats the heart of Femto, and with Hell and Earth beginning to merge and the rest of the God Hand eventually able to take physical form on Earth, it is inevitable that he will revert to Femto and The Hawk of Light will reveal his true nature as The Hawk of Darkness.
