History
Origin
The Iceberg Lounge was an establishment located within Gotham City.
The Trickster James Jesse and Pied Piper travelled to the Iceberg Lounge where they requested sanctuary from the Penguin. Reluctantly, he allowed them to stay in the buildings wine cellar but their location was found by Oracle. (Countdown v1 #40)
Post-Flashpoint
After the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.
At some point afterwards, the Lounge had been rebuilt with Duke Thomas breaking in as he sought clues to the whereabouts of his missing parents. (Batman v2 #43)
The Batman Who Laughs attacked the club where he killed its security and defeated the Penguin but did not kill his foe. Instead, he brought in an alternate universe version of Bruce Wayne and murdered him at the site thus leaving his body behind. (Batman Who Laughs v2 #3) Upon returning to Gotham, Jason Todd took over the Iceberg Lounge from the Penguin with it being said that Cobblepot had gone on the run though in reality he was trapped in his highly secure panic room in the building. With Oswald removed, Todd then took ownership of the business where he brought Suzie Su and her sisters to help him in managing it. (Red Hood and the Outlaws v2 #32) The club then came under attack from the Five Aces who were hired guns that were a contingency by Cobblepot that if he were to ever go missing then they were to deploy to either recover him or find his body. This saw them attack the Iceberg Lounge where they fought against the Sisters Su and Jason Todd with them being defeated. (Red Hood and the Outlaws v2 #33)
Overview
It was said that the building had stood for almost a century with five generations of Cobblepots walking through its doors. (Batman: Gates of Gotham v1 #3)
Oswald Cobblepot had built many unique features into his version of the Lounge. This included amphetamines dissolved in ice cubes, drink umbrellas that sprayed alcohol over the crowd to get them all dancing, blast-proof craps tables, bulletproof glass hidden in the ice of the cage and defibrillators charged extra to allow them to be used as weapons to electrocute enemies whilst making it look like they died of a heart attack. (Batman Who Laughs v2 #3)
