Biography
John Ryker
After his arrest, he was placed in a S.H.I.E.L.D. prison until the agency's collapse with H.A.M.M.E.R. rising to replace it. Director Norman Osborn then had General Ryker freed for a special project that involved a time-traveller called Lyra. She was a female warrior that was born in a possible future where she was the daughter of Thundra and the Hulk. From her, Osborn had learnt of a profitable venture made in the future by the Origins Corporation in the sale of superhuman abilities. Thus, he established the Origins Corporation in the modern age and placed John Ryker as its CEO due to his pre-existing experience in grafting Hulk genetic material onto subjects. Ryker then created the Gamma Corps: Black as his field team where he deployed them to find and capture Lyra so that she could be harvested of useful genetic material for further experiments.
