- Magica De Spell was created by Carl Barks where she made her first appearance in Uncle Scrooge v1 #36 (17th April, 1961).

- In DuckTales, Magica De Spell appeared in the 1980s animated television series where she was voiced by actor June Foray. It was revealed that she had a brother named Poe De Spell who was turned into a raven and served as his sister's familiar.
