Deckard Cain is a male video game character who features in Diablo.

Biography

Deckard Cain was a male human born in 1202 to Aderes Cain and with his father being unknown who was a tanner in the world of Sanctuary.

In 1285, the fears of Deckard Cain came to pass as the Fallen Star crashed into the cathedral he resided thus causing him to fall into the depths of the building. The power of the star came to awaken the undead in the region and brought about the reawakening of the Skeleton King. Leah in desperation then sought out the aid of others in helping her rescue her uncle.

With time running out, Magda decided to mortally wound Cain whereupon she departed with the mysterious stranger. Before dying, he used the last of his knowledge to re-forge the sword and urged Leah to find the Nephilim.

Personality and attributes

He was noted as being a kindly figure who was an avid scholar that had dedicated his life to the pursuit of knowledge. This knowledge he also intended to use to protect the world from the threat of demons. Cain had a fondness for storytelling with him always telling a tale to others.
