History
The Ninja Tribunal were originally five of the greatest warriors in Japan during the early 4th century. They consisted of Kon-Shisho, Juto-Shisho, Chikara-Shisho, Hisomi-Shisho and Oroku Saki who rose to fame where they received an order from the Emperor of Japan to slay a feared tengu known as the Shredder. The five battled the creature with Oroku Saki seemingly landing the killing blow against the Tengu thus killing it. Upon their return, the warriors were honoured for their victory and came to be regarded as the Five Dragons. However, unknown to anyone, Saki had actually forged a secret deal with the demon during their battle. In exchange for its power, he allowed the spirit of the Tengu to depart its body and enter his own thus allowing the Shredder to live on whilst its former body was an empty husk that was slain in the fight. Empowered by the Tengu, Saki became the new Shredder where he brought a reign of terror across Japan where he was aided by an army of demons. The four remaining Dragons whilst powerful warriors came to realise that they could not never defeat their former comrade in their current state. Thus, they travelled across the world to gather knowledge and power in order to increase their strength so that they could defeat Oroku Saki. In time, they came to transcend their humanity and became immortals who embodied the forces of nature itself. They then battled Oroku Saki in order to bring an end to his tyranny with their increased physical and mystical might. Ultimately, they proved to be victorious when they utilised their dragon avatars to defeat their foe but knew that the Shredder's evil magic meant that he could never be destroyed. Thus, they sought to imprison Saki in a coffin whereupon they hid his armour thus separating his helmet, gauntlet and body from one another. If these three relics were ever reunited then the Shredder would break his imprisonment and rise once again. As a result, the Ninja Tribunal was formed where the four dragons kept a constant vigil over the artifacts and recruited acolytes to aid them with among them being the Ancient One. These disciples were imparted many secrets and techniques that eventually became known as Ninjutsu.
Overview
Among their servants were the Mokusai No Bushi who acted as guardians and also tested recruits.
The home of the Tribunal was a monastery that was known as the Lap of the Gods.
