History
The Assembly of the Eighth Sacrament (Japanese: 第八秘蹟会, Hepburn: Daihachi Hiseki Kai?) was a branch of the Holy Church that existed in the modern age.
One duty of the Eighth Sacramental Assembly was monitoring the manifestation of the Holy Grail and claims made against it. This was because it held an important role within the beliefs of the Church which was why they watched over the Holy Grail War that formed at Fuyuki City. During such moments, they often sent a supervisor to act as a mediator between the Church and the Mage's Association.
Overview
In appearance, the special agency consisted of clerics that were charged with the duty of researching, recovering and the monitoring of holy relics scattered across the world. These items were deemed holy relics which included; the remains such as the blood of Saints, the nails that crucified Christ, the Holy Cross, the thirty silver coins of Judas and other such items. Another duty was the monitoring of the manifestation of the Holy Grail and counter any claims to take it.
