History
The Aurora Society (Japanese: 暁学会, Hepburn: Aurōra gakkai) were a secret society that existed in England during the Victorian era. It was founded by Rian Stoker who was the Director of Karnstein Hospital where alongside his fellow upper-ranked doctors they sought to find a way of reviving the dead as well as cure humanity of death.
Overview
In appearance, the Aurora Society was a private association of elite doctors that operated from Karnstein Hospital where they conducted illegal human experimentation in an attempt to revive the dead. Their objective was to save mankind by developing a medicine that could stop the worst kind of health issue which was death itself.
Their motto was, "absolute salvation of mankind through medicine."
The society was known to engage in experiments in artificial medicine that was to be the complete salvation. This was designed to revive the dead by implanting a special device that was placed in the brain of the deceased. These implants then generated a weak electric current so that the signals could animate the body. However, testing of the technology simply revived the dead as man-eating beings known as the Bizarre Dolls (歪んだ肉人形, Bizāru dōru).
