Biography
Origin
Sprite was a male member of the race of Eternals of Earth that were created by the Celestials.
After the death of all the Eternals, the species was resurrected again by the Machine with Sprite's sentence being over and them being reconstituted from a backup. This time though Sprite came back in a female form where she only had her memories from the last time she resurrected which was many centuries ago before the modern age. Ikaris came to tell her about the circumstances of her death and she was surprised as she did not feel herself capable of falling in such a manner. Despite that, she met with the other Eternals in Olympia after which she used the Machine's teleportation system to go to New York City where she marvelled at the developments of humanity. Once there, Ikaris had to contend with a rogue Deviant in the sewers with the two Eternals performing their directive as imprinted on them. They then learnt that Zuras had been murdered with Druig claiming Sprite was responsible for this though Ikaris vouched for her innocence. The two then decided to investigate the matter where they travelled to Titanos only to be confronted by the Mad Titan Thanos. (Eternals v5 #1)
Resurrection
After the death of all the Eternals, the Machine was responsible for resurrecting their entire race. It was then decided that Sprite's sentence was to end and that they were to be reborn with the last set of recorded memories taken centuries ago. This saw Sprite being reborn and taking a female form where she waited at the Exclusion and was greeted by Ikaris who was the last to be resurrected. She then fled through one of the portals to explore the human world as her memories was of mankind centuries ago and she marvelled at their advancements as she went across New York City. Ikaris stayed close by her side to ensure that she did not go rogue like the previous occasion. The two Eternals later responded to an incident in the sewers where they battled a rogue Deviant. Upon returning to Olympia, they found Zuras had been murdered by an unknown assailant with Druig believing Sprite was the culprit. Ikaris, however, vouched for her and the two decided to find the truth themselves where they went to the city of Titanos. (Eternals v5 #1) Once there, they encountered the Mad Titan Thanos who had been resurrected as well following his recent death with Ikaris battling him. Despite his strength, he could not defeat his foe and was nearly killed by him but Sprite used her illusions to trick Thanos allowing the pair to escape back to Olympia via a portal. They warned the others about the Mad Titan's return with the Eternals looking to wait for the resurrection of Zuras before deciding to do anything on the matter. However, Phastos revealed a startling revelation that the Machine's functions had been damaged and could no longer resurrect them thus if they died then it would be permanent until its functionality was restored.
