Biography
Jesse Black Crow
He was working on a skyscraper at a construction site where he suffered an accident where he fell off the building. It was said that he miraculously survived but was crippled as a result of his injuries where he was no longer able to walk again with him being confined to a wheelchair. (Captain America v1 #292)

Originally, Jesse Black Crow was an ordinary human being though one who was confined to a wheelchair as the result of an accident that prevented him from being able to walk. (Captain America v1 #292)
It was said that his magic allowed him to call upon the power of the Great Spirit. These gave him a range of supernatural and superhuman abilities. Among these included being the power to read the mind of others and see their thoughts. In another case, he was shown to be able to cause a person to stop in their tracks with but a look. (Captain America v1 #292)
With magic, he was able to turn into a crow where his dark shadowy form was coated in mists and he was able to soar through the sky. (Captain America v1 #292)
