Biography

Oberon

As a kid, his family were noted to had all been killed by a fire that set their apartment ablaze leaving Oberon the only survivor. He came to run as members of his family asked for his help which he did in order to save himself. Left an orphan, he looked for a job and came to find employment at a circus. He came to work for a ringmaster who treated him cruelly to the point that Oberon wished he had died with his family. His employer threatened to reveal his whereabouts to the State unless he did his job leaving Oberon to work the worst parts in the circus. The orphaned boy was too young though to understand that his employer would have been more trouble for the way he kept Oberon at work. Oberon was often punished by the other circus staff who beat him on behalf of the ringmaster until he met Thaddeus Brown who was a famous escape artist called Mister Miracle. He took the orphaned boy under his wing to be his assistant and confidante with him treating Oberon as a son. (Secret Origins v2 #33)
