History

Origin

The Bamfs were a race of small diminutive beings that were based on Nightcrawler and native to Earth-5311. (Uncanny X-Men v1 #153)

Wolverine and the X-Men

Within the deepest pits of Hades, a female demonic maggot came to mate with a changeling in the form of a lamprey. This led to the birth of offspring who were quickly abandoned and forced to fend for themselves. Around this time, a demonic Mutant named Azazel came to discover the lesser grub-like creatures within the tunnels that bordered the outskirts of Hell during one of his raid's of the afterlife. (Amazing X-Men v2 #4)

The school later was subjected to a Brood invasion that was headed by the cosmo-ecologically fanatical Professor Starblood. He had infected Kitty with a plague disguised as maternity with the bamfs intervening by assisting her against her adversary. (Wolverine and the X-Men v1 #5)

Overview

They were shown to be clever enough to craft an interdimensional portal out of household junk. (Amazing X-Men v2 #1)
