History
The Liberty Legion were a team of superheroes and vigilantes that gathered together during World War II. In 1942, the Red Skull came to capture and brainwash the Invaders with Bucky managing to escape. Seeing the threat posed by his brainwashed comrades, Bucky Barnes sent out a call for help from all other available superheroes. Among those that answered the call included the Patriot, the Whizzer, the Red Raven, the Thin Man, the Blue Diamond and Jack Frost. They came to form a superhero team where they took the name of the Liberty Legion for themselves where they managed to free the Invaders from the Red Skull's control. Following the Red Skull's defeat, the Liberty Legion decided to remain together where they decided to focus their efforts on the homefront whilst the Invaders continued to fight abroad in the war.
After World War II ended, the Legion and the Invaders disbanded, with some of the members of each group coming together to form the All-Winners Squad.
