Biography

Alcina Dimitrescu (Japanese: オルチーナ・ドミトレスク, Hepburn: Oruchīna Domitoresuku) was a female human born to the noble family of House Dimitrescu sometime before the Great War. A a result of her ancestry, she came to inherit a hereditary blood disease that afflicted her. Born before the Great War, her family was traced to Cesare who was one of the for founders of an isolated mountain village in Europe. Though Alcina herself live elsewhere where in her youth she had a brief music career in the emerging genre of Jazz. In that time, she went under the name of 'Miss D' and played with a band called 'The Pallboys'. After the Second World War, the nobility was abolished with Lady Dimitrescu returning to her family's former lands that had fallen under the control of a neopagan cult that worshipped the Black God. By 1958, she was 44 years old when she was drawn into a cult headed by Mother Miranda and went to a crypt located beneath the village cemetery. Whilst there, Alcina cam to be surgically implanted with a Cadou parasite with the purpose of the experiment to see if she was a viable candidate to be a host for a parasitic intelligence. This resulted in her body being changed as a result where she could transform her body, gained regenerative powers and her body's aging process had been halted allowing her to maintain her appearance. Despite the benefits, the mutation did not remove her porphyria where Alcina Dimitrescu developed a need to consume fresh human blood to maintain her health. This led to Lady Dimitrescu being deemed a failure in Mother Miranda's experiments though she became a member of the Four Lords that served the cult leader. Taking ownership of Castle Dimitrescu, she maintained order over the native peasantry whilst aiding Miranda in her research. Whilst at the estate, she took over her family's vineyard and the wine-distribution business as a means of supporting herself financially. Over the next 70 years, Dimitrescu and her daughters systematically consumed the flesh and blood of local peasants and servants alike. The female victims, now infected with Mold, lived on as Moroaicǎ and Samcă, while male victims were consumed and then hollowed out to be turned into scarecrows for the castle vineyard. Dimitrescu's reign of terror was not without resistance, however, as one villager is known to have stolen a family heirloom - the Dagger of Death's Flowers - in an attempt to assassinate her with its poisoned blade. The attempt failed and he was buried with the dagger in the Tower of Worship to keep it hidden from any others who might seek to harm her.

Overview

Personality and attributes

She was shown as being a calm and collected woman of posh nature and elegant poise. She does not anger easily, and can be snobbish towards those she thinks are beneath her. When she does get mad though, her enticing appearance becomes a harbinger of wrath, and she is quite capable of holding grudges against those who have wronged her or failed her leader, by side, Alcina has strict, merciless and cruel nature toward her maids, who's punishment ultimately leads them to their demise for breaking Alcina's rules.

As a noble, she developed extreme caste-based views of society seeing herself as second only to Miranda herself.

She was a member of a rich noble family called the House Dimitrescu.

Her daughters competed with each other for their mother's attention and approval. Meanwhile, Dimitrescu was said to be highly protective of her daughters in a maternal fashion.

Powers and abilities

Originally, Lady Dimitrescu was a female human born to nobility where she came suffer from a hereditary blood disease. Eventually, she was lured into the cult of Mother Miranda who transformed Alcina into a mutant. This saw the implantation Cadou (カドゥ kadu?) that was a genetically-engineered organism with this consisting of nematodes exposed to the Mold. A result of this was her body being mutated where she gained regenerative abilities, was able to extended retractable claws from her nails as well as the power to switch between her human form and that of a dragon-like monster. In addition, the parasite came to halt her aging process thus maintaining her youthful appearance despite the passage of many years. The mutation though did not cure her of her porphyria and instead resulted in her developing a need to consume fresh human blood to maintain her health. The change to her physiology resulted in her developing an inhuman form where she towered over humans as she stood 9'6".

When stabbed with the Dagger of Death's Flowers, she mutated into a form similar to that of a mythical dragon, with what little remained of her human form straddling the creature's wings. In this form, she was able to easily fly around the spires of the castle's rooftops with enough strength to break the very stonework itself. However, the human remnant was a critical weak point and she was left vulnerable to conventional weapon attacks that she otherwise would have been able to regenerate from in her normal state.

The blood of maids was extracted and combined with grapes to create Sanguis Virginis (Latin for "Maiden's Blood"), a traditional Dimitrescu family wine.

She was one of the members of the Four Houses that were a political alliance of noble families which controlled the mountainous region of their home country located in Eastern Europe.

She owned a medieval castle located in Eastern Europe that was known as Castle Dimitrescu (ドミトレスク城しろ Domitoresuku shiro?). From there, she maintained a pseudo-feudal rule over the peasantry in the region who came to be terrified of her.
