Biography

Geras was a male artificial construct that was built by the Titan Kronika to serve as her faithful aid. As a fixed point in time, he had lived a long life and seen various periods of history. His master later sought to restart time by restarting history with Geras looking to accomplish this goal.

It was then that his master decided to enact her plan to remake the timeline to make a more perfect existence. To achieve that end, she gathered a number of allies and required a number of tasks completed with Geras dispatched to accomplish some of these goals. Geras was later seen collecting vials of Jinsei from the underground reservoir under the Shaolin Temple. When the past timeline versions of Liu Kang and Kung Lao arrive and defeat their present revenant counterparts, Geras blocks them from retrieving the stolen Jinsei and is promptly decapitated by Kung Lao's razor hat, only to reveal to the warriors his status as a fixed constant in time, his death undone in moments. He then battles the warriors and is defeated, but after the monks recover the vials of Jinsei and attempt to attack him again, the construct freezes time, allowing Geras recover the Jinsei, with Kronika arriving moments later, her servant presenting the vials of Jinsei to her. Though Geras wishes to eliminate the Shaolin warriors, Kronika advises against it, still needing their revenant selves to aid them. After Sub-Zero and Scorpion destroy the Cyber Lin Kuei Assembly plant, Geras recruits the past and present incarnations of Kano with promises of a hefty payoff and the Black Dragon being superior in the New Era, to repair the damaged and comatose Sektor, while simultaneously inquiring if Sektor's design could be mass produced. After both Kano's agree to repair and begin production of more Cyber Lin Kuei, Geras assures the past incarnation of Erron Black that they will receive their payment.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Geras was a humanoid with dark skin, glowing blue eyes and was bald with no hair on his head. His toned physique was shown to contain some form of energy that glowed from his chest and back.

Geras also exhibits the traits of a scholar, as a witness of many lifetimes in many timelines. He studies and collects knowledge of events, cultures, and people and, as a result, has an impressive knowledge of the realms and the denizens that inhabit them that he puts to use serving Kronika.

Powers and abilities

As a creation of Kronika, Geras also was capable of manipulating the Sands of Time allowing him some level of control over time itself. Geras possesses the ability to manipulate time and the Sands of Time. His control over time includes being able to stop its flow, teleport, rewind it and replay his previous actions. By stopping the flow of time, Geras can freely interact with his opponents who are oblivious to his next move and completely unaware of it. His ability to rewind time is useful against enemies who successfully dodge his attacks as he can simply rewind them back to the time when they have not yet moved before setting up another attack. He can also use it on himself as an escape method by rewinding himself from the moment of danger to safety. If necessary, he can erase others from existence instead of blasting them with energy that would normally freeze them in time.

He stated that he was a fixed point in time allowing him to be reborn every time he died where Geras claimed that he grew stronger from those experiences. When killed, his broken body simply restored itself with time reversing leading to severed limbs and blood returning to his body.
