New Liberty

New Liberty was a settlement of freed slaves in Illinois. In the last days of the Civil War, General "Bloodbath" McGrath led an attack on New Liberty using technology provided by Arliss Loveless. Jim West's family died in the attack, of which he was one of the few survivors, and made it his business to find McGrath and bring him to justice.
