Edward Ashford

Sir Edward Ashford was the father of Alexander Ashford and the grandfather of Alexia and Alfred Ashford. Along with Lord Ozwell Spencer and Dr. James Marcus he helped found the Umbrella Corporation in 1968. Edward died in a lab accident that everyone - including his grandchildren Alexia and Alfred - blamed on his son, Alexander. His death led Lord Spencer and Dr. Marcus to vie for control of the company.
