Kargat

The Kargat were the secret police that once served the darklord Azalin Rex of Darkon. It was composed of humans at the lowest levels, werebeasts in the middle ranks, and vampires at the highest levels.

After the disappearance of Azalin and Darkon's transformation into Necropolis, the Kargat was shattered. However, some of its members fell under the sway of the entity calling itself Death. Various splinter groups also continued to operate, with some in other lands such as Barovia. Since Azalin's return, he has tried to reform the Kargat once more, with mixed results.
